Latest Updates at GDM - June 2025

We've got another small batch of updates on the site to let you know about from over the last few weeks...

Improved File Downloads

We’ve added multiple new locations that files can be served from, which means many users will see much faster download speeds when accessing their assets.

Though one drawback of this is that files have had to revert back to a random alphanumeric file name when downloaded, instead of including the asset title, to allow us to implement the improvements. We will be looking into possible options to get the file name back in place though.

AI Training Restriction

We have added an extra field to the Technical Details section on all asset listings that shows they cannot be used for AI training purposes by default, for any sellers that have no issue with their assets being used to train AI, this can be amended within the Dashboard at an account level, not on an individual asset basis - though please note that amending this in your dashboard will simply remove this section from the Technical Details, it won't change it to say you do allow assets to be used for training.

Cover Images

After some feedback from sellers who had noticed slight issues with cover image upscaling, we've pushed out a change to the asset pages.

Instead of the 700x400 images that are uploaded scaling up for a larger display, we've now set cover images to display with a blurred, semi-opaque version of the cover image itself to fill the sides, which then pulls focus to the actual cover image in the strict 700px width dimension.

UI Testing

We’ve been testing a couple of tweaks out on the site over recent weeks, they're currently only visible to some users, but will likely be rolled out for all in the coming weeks, including...
